Earn United Miles When Making Dinner Reservations

Planning on going to dinner and using OpenTable to make your reservation?

Instead, book your table through United's Mileage Plus Shopping - Dining Reservations and earn 60 miles per reservation made. If you plan on booking through OpenTable already, might as well earn United Miles for it, since the system United uses is powered by OpenTable.

As an added bonus, make sure to book a restaurant that participates in the dining program, as you can receive 3-5 miles per dollar spent. In addition, United is running a promotion where you receive 1,000 bonus miles for each $100 spent until June 30th. It is time to rack up those miles for dining!!

  1. AWESOME. Had never heard of this but will most certainly take advantage of it.

  2. Opentable gives a minimum of $1 or even $10 for some restaurants. That's far better than a measly 60 miles. If you value your miles at less than 1.66 c then Opentable is better. Even if you value your miles slightly higher, better to take the cash in hand rather than miles with so many restrictions on their usage.
